Your private driver will meet you at Casablanca Airport and take you to your hotel. Casablanca is Morocco’s modern and economic capital. You can visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, beautifully built on the Atlantic coast. A short walk along the Corniche Ain Diab offers sea views, cafés, and a great first impression of Morocco.
After breakfast, your private driver will take you north to Rabat, the capital city. You can visit the Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret that remains unfinished, and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where the Moroccan royal family rests. You can also stroll through the Kasbah of the Oudayas, a peaceful neighborhood painted in blue and white. Take a full day to explore Fes on your own. Founded more than 1,200 years ago, Fes is home to one of the oldest medinas in the world and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can visit Al Quaraouiyine University, the Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Royal Palace gates. Walking through the medina, you will find narrow streets filled with craftsmen, shops, and the scent of spices and leather.
After breakfast, your private driver will take you south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, known for its clean streets and European-style houses. Then visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you can see Barbary macaques. Continue to Midelt, a mountain town surrounded by apple orchards, and then drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon, a small desert village near the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Today, enjoy a relaxed day in the Merzouga Desert area with your driver. After breakfast, continue your journey through the Rose Valley, known for its pink flowers and the annual rose festival. Stop in Ouarzazate, called the ‘Hollywood of Africa,’ where many famous films were shot. Then visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified village built of clay and straw in the 17th century, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the afternoon, your private driver will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
Spend your morning exploring Marrakech, the vibrant ‘Red City.’ You can visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the Saadian Tombs, or walk through the colorful souks of the medina.
