Your private driver will meet you at Marrakech Airport and take you to your hotel or riad. Marrakech, known as the ‘Red City’, is one of Morocco’s most vibrant and historic destinations. Depending on your arrival time, you can begin exploring the medina or simply relax after your flight.
Spend the day discovering the highlights of Marrakech. You can visit the Koutoubia Mosque, a 12th-century landmark that can be seen across the city, the Bahia Palace, known for its colorful mosaics, and the Saadian Tombs, which date back to the 1500s. Walk through the souks, where artisans sell traditional crafts, spices, and leather goods. End the day in Jemaa el-Fna Square, filled with local food, musicians, and lively evening shows.
After breakfast, your private driver will take you through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). Stop to visit Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient kasbahs and as a filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the ‘Hollywood of Africa,’ and drive through the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Valley, known for its stunning rock formations and scenic road.
After breakfast, travel toward the Sahara Desert. You’ll visit the Todra Gorges, where tall cliffs rise over 300 meters and form a narrow canyon — perfect for photos and short walks. Continue through Tinghir and Erfoud, a town known for fossils and date production, before arriving in Merzouga, a small desert village near the Erg Chebbi Dunes.
After breakfast, begin the journey toward Ouarzazate. You’ll pass through Alnif and the scenic Draa Valley, famous for its long stretches of palm trees and ancient kasbahs. The valley has been a key trade route for centuries, linking the Sahara to the Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Ouarzazate, where you can explore the Taourirt Kasbah or visit one of the local film studios.
After breakfast, drive back to Marrakech through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you can enjoy stops for panoramic views and photos of Berber villages and valleys. Arrive in Marrakech by the afternoon and enjoy some free time to relax or explore the city’s modern cafés and gardens.
At the scheduled time, your private driver will take you to Marrakech Airport for your departure. Your 7-day journey comes to an end with wonderful memories of Morocco’s mountains, desert, kasbahs, and historical cities.

A private driver is responsible for your transportation, comfort, and logistics, getting you safely from one location to another. They can provide general information and recommendations. An official local guide is licensed to accompany you inside monuments and museums, providing detailed historical and cultural context. This itinerary is designed with significant flexibility. The driving routes and overnight stops are fixed, but your time in each location is yours to control. You can choose which sites to visit, how long to spend there, and where to eat. Your driver is there to facilitate your plans, not to rush you through a rigid schedule.
When visiting mosques and other religious sites, modest dress is required for both men and women. This typically means covering shoulders, chest, and knees. While the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is more lenient with tourists, it still maintains a dress code. Carrying a scarf is a good idea for women. Your driver can provide specific guidance before each visit.

Our driver, Karim, was the heart of this trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and a very safe driver. Having a private car gave us the freedom to stop for photos whenever we wanted and adjust the day slightly. The itinerary is perfectly paced to see the incredible diversity of Morocco. A truly first-class experience!”

This tour packs in so much! One day you’re in the chaotic beauty of Fes, and the next you’re watching the sunset over the Sahara. The drive through the Atlas Mountains is worth the trip alone. We loved the flexibility of having a driver; it felt like a road trip with a knowledgeable friend. The included hotels were charming and authentic. Highly recommend!
As a couple who likes to explore on our own, this was the ideal tour. We had the structure and ease of a driver handling the long distances and logistics, but the freedom to choose what we wanted to see and do in each city. The highlight was definitely the journey from the cedar forests down to the desert. An amazing way to see Morocco without the stress of driving yourself.
