Your private driver will meet you at Casablanca Airport and take you to your hotel. Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and main port. If you arrive early, you can visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the biggest mosques in the world, or walk along the Corniche Ain Diab by the ocean.
After breakfast, your private driver will take you to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. You can see the Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Walk through the Kasbah of the Oudayas, a blue-and-white neighborhood overlooking the Atlantic. Later, continue the drive through the countryside to Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco.
Spend a full day exploring Fes at your own pace. Founded in the 8th century, it was Morocco’s first capital and remains one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the world. You can walk through the old medina, visit Al Quaraouiyine University (the world’s oldest still in operation), and see the Royal Palace or the Jewish Quarter. Your driver can help with short transfers within the city if needed.
Your journey continues south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, called the ‘Switzerland of Morocco,’ and the Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to Barbary macaque monkeys. Continue through Midelt and the palm-filled Ziz Valley before arriving in Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert.
Leave Merzouga and travel to Rissani, an old market town that was once a caravan stop for traders from the Sahara. Continue to the Todra Gorges, where tall red cliffs rise high above a small river. Afterward, your driver will take you to the Dades Valley, known for its rock formations and beautiful views.
Drive through the Rose Valley, famous for its fragrant roses and annual festival. Pass through Ouarzazate, known as the ‘Hollywood of Africa,’ where many movies were filmed. Visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built from mud-brick in the 17th century. Continue across the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to reach Marrakech in the evening.
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Marrakech. You can visit landmarks such as the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, and the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square. After lunch, your driver will take you back to Casablanca for your final night.
At the scheduled time, your driver will pick you up and transfer you to Casablanca Airport for your departure. This marks the end of your 8-day Morocco private driver-only tour, traveling through Morocco’s cities, mountains, and valleys with comfort and flexibility.

A private driver is responsible for your transportation, comfort, and logistics, getting you safely from one location to another. They can provide general information and recommendations. An official local guide is licensed to accompany you inside monuments and museums, providing detailed historical and cultural context. For a deeper understanding in cities like Fes and Marrakech, we can arrange a local guide for a few hours at an additional cost.
This itinerary is designed with significant flexibility. The driving routes and overnight stops are fixed, but your time in each location is yours to control. You can choose which sites to visit, how long to spend there, and where to eat. Your driver is there to facilitate your plans, not to rush you through a rigid schedule.
When visiting mosques and other religious sites, modest dress is required for both men and women. This typically means covering shoulders, chest, and knees. While the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is more lenient with tourists, it still maintains a dress code. Carrying a scarf is a good idea for women. Your driver can provide specific guidance before each visit.

Our driver, Karim, was the heart of this trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and a very safe driver. Having a private car gave us the freedom to stop for photos whenever we wanted and adjust the day slightly. The itinerary is perfectly paced to see the incredible diversity of Morocco. A truly first-class experience!”

This tour packs in so much! One day you’re in the chaotic beauty of Fes, and the next you’re watching the sunset over the Sahara. The drive through the Atlas Mountains is worth the trip alone. We loved the flexibility of having a driver; it felt like a road trip with a knowledgeable friend. The included hotels were charming and authentic. Highly recommend!
As a couple who likes to explore on our own, this was the ideal tour. We had the structure and ease of a driver handling the long distances and logistics, but the freedom to choose what we wanted to see and do in each city. The highlight was definitely the journey from the cedar forests down to the desert. An amazing way to see Morocco without the stress of driving yourself.
